Our Adventures at Mission Mobile Medical
Rarely do I find myself speechless, but that's exactly how Kemi and I felt during our recent visit to Mission Mobile Medical in Greensboro, NC.
We first crossed paths with Mission Mobile Medical a few years back, drawn in by their remarkable mission to provide mobile medical units to underserved communities. Their commitment to innovation and community impact spoke volumes, and we couldn't wait to see it firsthand.
Mission Mobile Medical, founded in January 2020 by Travis (CEO) and Amanda LeFever, MBA (President & CFO), is focused on addressing the healthcare gap that affects millions of Americans. With 46 million people underserved by the current healthcare system, Mission Mobile Medical took on the challenge of providing a solution. They quickly discovered that while equipment was important, the real challenge was planning and launching mobile health programs effectively. They’ve worked tirelessly to tackle this complexity, helping reduce health disparities and healthcare costs while improving health equity and access for vulnerable communities.
The mission is clear: Mission Mobile Medical equips healthcare systems with the tools they need to make data-driven decisions, close care gaps, and deliver services that are easier, faster, less risky, and more impactful. And we got to see that vision in action during our visit.
Our visit started with a minor hiccup — we accidentally went to the wrong office. But as believers in signs, we wandered into the building and stumbled upon Travis in a conference room. Awkwardly waiting for Lynn Coachman, Vice President of Revenue Operations, we were promptly redirected to their main location by a lovely gentleman.
As we toured their facility and caught up with Lynn, we had the pleasure of meeting Donnie Wingo, the lovely gentleman who greeted us at the first location. Lynn introduced Donnie as the Senior Director of Manufacturing. "He's being humble," Lynn chuckled. Little did we know that Donnie's resume included a stint as a crew chief at NASCAR. Talk about cool surprises!

Innovation is at the heart of Mission Mobile Medical's operation. We were lucky to get a sneak peek at their latest mobile unit designs and hear about their upcoming projects from Brad Watson, the Chief Revenue Officer, and Maria Ferraris, the Executive Director of the Global Mobile Healthcare Research Consortium.
Now, as Kemi drives us to the airport and back to New Jersey, I’m reflecting on our time at Mission Mobile Medical and how it inspired us. It’s a reminder of how combining purpose with innovation can truly transform healthcare access for those who need it most.
